 Sweeper Parts London - Thanks to the 1993 annexations within the Province of Ontario, the city of London became one of the biggest urban municipalities. Within the southwestern and northwestern areas of the city, there was a rapid residential and commercial development that occurred. Nowadays, the City of London is considered as the eleventh biggest urban area in Canada and the sixth largest city within Ontario.
London city has a long history of in the creative arts, helping to create several great talents from Canada in the visual and performing arts. Some of the artist and actors consist of: Jack Chambers and the late Greg Curnoe, dancer Evelyn Hart, musician Guy Lombardo, actor Ryan Gosling, and Oscar-winning screenplay writer and director Paul Haggis. London Arts Council is devoted to enhancing quality of life and creative vitality through its good services and programs which provide informational, educational, and networking opportunities to tourists, Londoners, as well as the Arts community. Museum London provides many collections of regional Canadian works and over 25,000 artifacts which reflect London's artifacts. Orchestra London provides inspirational and distinctive classical music performances and different orchestrated music. The Mabile Choirs of London and the London Youth Symphony are also well-known within the city. There are two famous art houses at London, one is the McIntosh Gallery, an art gallery on the UWO campus, and the Open House Arts Collective, that promotes cultural activities in the city. The London Public Library has art exhibitions and author readings, and the Writers Resource Center is the place of the Canadian Poetry Association (London Chapter).
The City of London is home to several festivals, including the Taste of London Festival, London International Hot Air Balloon Festival, London Ribfest (second largest rib festival in North America), Home County Folk Festival, the Expressions in Chalk Street Painting Festival, Pride London Festival (amongst the largest Pride festivals in Ontario), London Fringe Theatre Festival, Sunfest (a World Music festival and the second biggest in Canada), and the London Ontario Live Arts Festival.
The city of London has a financial system which is dominated by military vehicle, information technology, locomotive, and insurance trades. The city is the birthplace of London Life Insurance Company and General Motors' Electro-Motive Division. General Dynamics Land Systems makes armoured personal carriers within the city. The city of London has a strong life sciences and biotechnology related research; and much of this is spurred by the University of Western Ontario. The university brings in approximately C$1.5 billion to the London financial system every year. 3M's head office are likewise situated in the city of London, and Labatt and Carling Breweries are established here. Kellogg's Company likewise has a plant in London, and is considered to have the most technologically-advanced manufacturing facilities within the company.
